Party and State leaders donate to assist storm victims

The Offices of the Party Central Committee, State President, the National Assembly and the Government on November 6th launched campaigns to donate money to assist people who were affected by Typhoon Damrey. Accordingly, each leader, officer and labourer contributed at least one day of their salary.

The assistance aims to help storm affected people get through difficulties, resume production and promptly stabilize their lives.
According to State President Tran Dai Quang, the Government, ministries and localities have carried out measures to assist storm affected people.
He called on people and soldiers across the country, as well as overseas Vietnamese, agencies, businesses, entrepreneurs and sponsors, to continue the donation.
On the same day, the staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also donated at least a day of salary each to assist storm affected people after a launch ceremony, in which the Hai Phong city People’s Committee donated VND10 billion, joining hands to help the affected people overcome difficulties./.
