Party and State leaders pay homage to President Ho Chi Minh

To mark the 127th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th), on May 18th, a delegation of representatives from the Party Central Committee, State President, National Assembly, Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front paid homage to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum; and burnt incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Hanoi.

Attending the ceremony were Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city's Party Committee-VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan.

Former Party General Secretaries Nong Duc Manh and Le Kha Phieu; former NA Chairmen Nguyen Van An and Nguyen Sinh Hung; former Party and State leaders; Politburo members; Secretaries of the Party Central Committee; Vice State President; NA Vice Chairpersons; Deputy Prime Ministers; revolutionary senior cadres and leaders from ministries and central unions, also attended the ceremony.

The delegation brought a wreath carrying letters showing their deep gratitude towards President Ho Chi Minh - the talented leader of the Vietnamese Party and people, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, national liberation hero, world cultural celebrity, and the one who brightens Vietnam, an international model communist soldier, and a close friend of nations struggling for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress. He devoted his whole life to the revolutionary process of the Party and nation, serving the people until his final breath. The name and cause of President Ho Chi Minh will live together with the nation and each Vietnamese heart.

After that, the delegation laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial to commemorate and give tribute to heroic martyrs.

On the same day, delegations from the Central Military Party Committee and the Ministry of National Defence; the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security; Hanoi city and the Ba Dinh district historical and cultural relic campus laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic mothers./.
