Party official works with Can Tho city

During the meeting with the board, Tran Quoc Trung, PCC member and Secretary of the Can Tho city Party Committee, delivered a report on the realization of the 12th National Party Congress and 13th provincial Party Congress resolutions, as well as the election of deputies to the 14th NA and People’s Council at all levels term 2016-2021.

Addressing the meeting, Dinh The Huynh praised the city for its achievements in socio-economic development over the past years, especially in the four initial months of 2016, with economic growth rate of over 6.5% in the industrial, trade, service, educational and medical sectors. Meanwhile, security and defence has been reinforced and people’s spiritual and material lives have been remarkably improved.

He urged the province to improve the traffic infrastructure, train human resources and deal with climate change.

To boost rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, he suggested that the province should focus on realising the 12th National Party Congress and the 13th provincial Party Congress resolutions; continuing to accelerate the implementation of the 4th Party Central Committee meeting resolution (term XI) on Party building and the Politburo Directive on increasing the campaign to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ethical example./.
