The provincial People’s Committee of Nghe An and the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam jointly organized the ninth conference with investors on February 19th.
The event drew the participation of PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue, and over 300 businessmen.
Via the annual event, the central province of Nghe An attracted 804 projects, including 758 domestic and 46 FDI ones with a total registered capital of VND 261,000 billion.
In 2016, the province licensed 141 projects with a total registered and additional capital of VND 35,441 billion.

This year, the local authorities targeted to continue to improve the investment and business environment; raise the provincial competitive index with a view to attracting domestic and foreign investment. They also looked to attract over 100 new projects and lure VND 30-35 trillion of registered capital, especially in the high-tech and auxiliary industries.
Addressing the conference, Nghe An provincial People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong reported that the province has deployed a string of measures to support enterprises and investors, especially streamlining administrative procedures and cutting time of business licensing to only three days.
