PM urges implementation of transport infrastructure projects

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged localities and competent agencies to accelerate the implementation of transport infrastructure projects, saying they are important to the socio-economic development.

He made the statement at a meeting of permanent Cabinet members in Hanoi on July 25th.
The projects must be constructed quickly and in line with the State’s regulations, PM Phuc said, stressing site clearance must be paid special attention.
He said the Trung Luong - My Thuan - Can Tho expressway has to be opened to traffic in 2020 and inaugurated in the beginning of 2021, affirming sufficient capital for the project.
He ordered the Minister of Transport and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tien Giang province to be responsible for the issue./.
