During the meeting, NA Chairwoman Ngan stressed that Vietnam always respected and showed gratitude for the precious and effective assistance of the Hungarian people for the Vietnamese people during the earlier struggle for national liberation and the current national construction.

Hungary has helped Vietnam train thousands of cadres and engineers in different areas, with many holding important positions in the State apparatus and in other socio-economic areas.

According to Chairwoman Ngan, the visit aims to promote the relationship between the two Parliaments, contributing to deepen the relationship between the two countries.

Adding that a workshop on laws between the two Parliaments expected to be held during her visit to Hungary would be very practical, Chairwoman Ngan invited Hungarian Parliament Vice President to visit Vietnam and co-organise a workshop on sharing experience in agriculture and irrigation.

Agreeing with Chairwoman Ngan, Hungarian Parliament Vice President Jakab Istvan stressed that this would be the first workshop held based on the agreement between the two Parliaments signed in 2008.

In the future, to extend the success in education cooperation, Hungary has expanded opportunities for Vietnamese students by doubling scholarships.

Showing his pleasure with Vietnamese cadres and engineers trained in Hungary and having important contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development, Vice President Jakab Istvan said that they were a bridge to strengthen the friendship between the two countries, as “ambassadors” of Hungary and vice versa./.
