(CPV) - The British Council Vietnam on January 8 will officially launch the “UK in my eyes” competition to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

The cultural event is held for the second time for all Vietnamese students studying in the UK and UK alumni. This year’s event also welcomes Vietnamese citizens who have legally traveled to the UK for tourism, business, meeting relatives and friends.

Contestants can submit their entries by either writing an article which should not be longer than 1,500 words or making a slideshow or a video clip.

“This year, we are celebrating 20 years of the British Council in Vietnam. This competition opens a series of interesting activities hosted by us. So, I do hope that competitors would play an important role in cementing friendship and love between Vietnamese people and the UK”, said Mr Robin Rickard, Director of British Council Vietnam.

Competitors get chances to win round-trip air tickets to the UK.

The best entry every month will be posted on the website http://www.nuocanhtrongmattoi.net/
