116 works by Vietnamese and Korean artists on display in Hanoi

116 works by 110 artists are on display at the first Vietnam - Republic of Korean (RoK) international fine arts exhibition, which opened in Hanoi on March 27th.

There are 76 pieces by 70 members of the KIRO Art Association and 40 by members from Vietnam Fine Arts Association.  They were drawn in different materials and styles, reflecting the culture and art of each country.

The exhibition is held by the the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in coordination with the KIRO Art Association of the RoK to raise mutual understanding about fine arts between the two peoples.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, painter Tran Khanh Chuong, President of Vietnam Fine Arts Association, said that in recent years, many fine art exhibitions have been organized in the two countries, contributing to strengthening understanding on fine arts among Vietnamese and Korean people and artists.

Chairman of the KIRO Art Association Yun Bu-nam said Korean artists will learn more about Vietnamese culture and arts via the event. He also took the occasion to invite Vietnamese painters to send their works to the RoK for display. 

The event will run until March 30th./.
