13 traditional villages in Thua Thien-Hue need long-term preservation

The province also proposed tasks for preserving and developing traditional villages in localities, such as making projects on developing traditional villages association with tourism development; building exhibition houses on villages’ products; investing items for performance; building and developing trademarks; and establishing and promoting tours to traditional villages and cultural tourist sites.

The activity aims to preserve and promote traditional culture; create competitive competence to make new traditional projects and increase products’ values in association with tourism promotion, making practical contributions to provincial socio-economic development.

Thua Thien-Hue is the home of 86 handicraft villages, 40 of which were recognized as traditional crafts and villages./.
