16 works honoured at Science and Technology Press Awards

This year’s event received around 500 entries from both local and central newspapers and radio and television stations across the country. They were divided into four categories: newspapers, online newspapers, radio, and television.

Through the press works, the picture of scientific and technological activities has drastic movements. Science and technology of Vietnam has made strong contributions to the development of key industries. Clear evidence for the movement reflected in the development achievements of prominent sectors and fields such as agriculture, industry, construction, transportation, health care, national defense and security with the contribution of science and technology. The organizing board presented three first prizes, four second prizes, four third prizes and five secondary prizes.

At the awards ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh said that this is really a profound activity for the communication of science and technology in particular and the goal of promoting science and technology development in general. The submitted works reflected activities in the field of science and technology. That has showed journalists’ attention to the field of science and technology in general and the awards in particular.

For his part, Ho Quang Loi, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association and Chairman of the Awards’ Council, stressed that press works on science and technology have helped to inspire the love for science and technology among younger generations while providing readers and audiences with updated knowledge and the opportunity to experience the latest achievements in the field./.
