20th Vietnam Film Festival to take place in Da Nang

The 20th Vietnam Film Festival under the theme “Building a modern human movie industry” will take place in the central city of Da Nang from November 24th to 28th.

The information was announced at the press briefing on the festival, held in Hanoi on August 15th by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The highlight of the event has always been the ASEAN Film Award, which introduces to the world the best movies in the region and affirms the role of the cinema industry in strengthening culture and friendship among the nations of the ASEAN community.
As part of the programs to welcome the 50th birth of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), there will be diverse activities such as outdoor screenings of films, a film week to open the festival, a seminar on Vietnamese film in the cause of national cinema development, a seminar on bringing ASEAN cinema to the world, an exhibition on Vietnam cinema as seen through 20 Vietnam film festivals, and exchanges with artists./.
