Activities at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in June

90 representatives from 12 ethnic minority groups will participate in activities at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in June.

The 12 ethnic groups participating are Tay, Dao, Mong, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Co Tu, Raglai, Ede, Khmer and Cham. The organizing board will mobilize 20 artisans from Ede ethnic and five couples from Gie Trieng, Xo Dang and Ba Na ethnic groups, and young people from the Central Highlands.

Traditional foods, artistic performances and sports activities will be held at the family cultural day of ethnic groups. This will be an opportunity for ethnic people to meet and exchange to promote solidarity.

A training course for children will be organized by the Village Management Board and monks from Khmer pagodas, thus helping them to uderstand the good things, the beauty of life, experience a life of meditation, learn catechism, and listen to lessons on ethics. They will also participate in making paintings on the Central Highlands. 

In additional, festivals of the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan and the Ede group in Dak Lak will be reinstated.

Daily and weekend activities with folk dances, gongs and Central Highlands musical instrument performances, along with folk cake making, will be held to introduce the culture and customs of ethnic groups.

A series of activities to mark the Vietnam Family Day (June 28th) will also take place at the Village./.
