Diverse activities honouring culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi from November 1st to 30th.

Accordingly, folk songs, dances, cuisine, specialties and customs of Vietnamese ethnic groups will be held during the month.

Under the theme “Great unity - the cultural quintessence of Vietnamese ethnic groups”, the highlight will be an arts programme entitled “Huyen thoai loai hoa tam giac mach”’ (The legend of Buckwheat Flower), with stories about the familiar flowers in the northern mountainous region. The program will also feature songs praising the solidarity among ethnic minority groups throughout the country.

In addition, unique cultural and culinary activities will be performed by Mong, Dao, Tay and Nung ethnic people. There will be performances of Then singing and Tinh musical instrument by Tay and Nung ethnic groups, belly dance of Dao people and special dance by Mong people. Folk games will be also held.

Thai and Kho Mu ethnic minority groups will together reproduce their typical songs, dances as well as introduce traditional foods.

All ethnic groups at the Village will give performances with traditional musical instruments, folk games and handicrafts to connect with visitors./.
