April activities at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

A variety of cultural activities related to the culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups are taking place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi from April 1st to May 2nd.

Under the theme “Colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups”, activities will contribute to honoring Vietnam Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Day (April 19th).

It will see the participation of Khmer, H’mong, Tay, Si La, Thai, Ha Nhi, La Ha groups as well as tribes from the Central Highlands region.

The highlight will be the activities on the occasion of the national holidays of April 30th and May 1st with the theme on Lai Chau mountainous market from April 27th to May 1st.

It will be the reproduction of a typical rural market in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau, offering visitors an opportunity to taste local dishes, explore indigenous culture and handicraft products, and play folk games in the locality.

In addition, traditional festivals of La Ha, Ha Nhi and Si La ethnic groups will be reinstated./.
