Art performance celebrates War Invalids and Fallen Soldiers’ Day

(CPV) - The 11th “Mau hoa do” (Red Flower Colour) art performance took place at Au Co Art Center at No.8 Huynh Thuc Khang street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, at 19h30 on July 20th, to pay debt of gratitude to the war invalids and fallen soldiers and Vietnamese heroic mothers nationwide.

Organized for the first time in 2008, the event mobilized social organizations, businesses and individuals throughout the nation to support the families of war invalids and martyrs, Vietnamese heroic mothers and persons with meritorious service to the country.

So far, the Organizing Board has collected over VND47 billion, presented nearly 17,000 savings and gifts, 610 houses of gratitude and thousands of scholarships.

This year's event drew the participation of singers such as People’s Artist Quang Tho, Outstanding Artist Quoc Hung, Outstanding Artist Phuong Thao, Lan Anh, Tan Nhan, Bich Hong, Thu Hang and Mai Dieu Ly. Reports on visits by Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, together with units and benefactors, to the families was also screened.

The program was broadcast live on VTV2 on the occasion of 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27th).
