ASEAN Children Festival 2017

The event is held to celebrate International Children’s Day (June 1st) and mark the enhancement of friendship, cultural exchange, and understanding among children of ASEAN countries.

The event provides an opportunity for children from different countries to have a cultural exchange and learn more about the land, people and culture of Vietnam and others through diverse activities such as visiting cultural relics and beautiful landscapes in Hanoi, taking part in exchanges with ASEAN children delegations, participating in folklore activities and discovering the art of water puppetry.

The highlight of the event is the opening ceremony, to be broadcast live at 8:10 pm on June 1st on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television; the closing ceremony to take place on June 3rd at pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake, and the street festival broadcast live on VTV1 channel at  9:10 pm on June 4th.

The festival was held for the first time in Hanoi, from May 28th to June 2nd, 2016./.
