A book entitled “Hoang Sa - Truong Sa: Luan cu va Su kien” (Hoang Sa - Truong Sa: Arguments and Facts) by Dinh Kim Phuc, which affirms Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and islands, has been translated by Professor Kazutaka Hashimoto and published in Japan.

The 263-page book presents a range of historical evidence that confirms Vietnamese sea and island sovereignty, a fact that is largely recognised by the wider international community.

Interviews from Vietnamese and foreign experts discussing the issue in detail were also included in the book.

The Japanese version is being distributed by many publishing houses in Japan and will be used as a reference document by Japanese research institutes, universities and experts.

Professor Kazutaka Hashimoto is the author of many books and sociological research articles which investigate aspects of society in both Japan and Vietnam. He was once a visiting professor of the Center for Japan Studies at the Vietnamese National Center for Social Sciences and Humanities in 1999./.
