Books on Vietnamese communal houses and pagodas through documentaries

The Institute for the Conservation of Monuments under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on November 26th held a ceremony to make public the second volume of books on Vietnamese communal houses and pagodas.

The books include drawings, photos and research articles on typical relics in the North, providing readers precious and selected materials from the archives at the Institute for Conservation of Monuments.

Accordingly, the second volume of the book on Vietnamese communal house architecture through documents of the Institute for Conservation of Monuments, refers to 12 typical houses with architectural arts and special carvings from the late 16th century to the first half of the 20th century.

While the second volume of the book on Vietnamese pagoda architecture refers to ten typical pagodas with special value in history, architecture and decorative sculpture art. These pagodas date from the Tran to the Nguyen dynasties./.
