Ca tru festival for young Hanoians closes

The Hanoi Ca Tru Festival 2016 for young singers, which aimed to seek young talent and promote the traditional art, has closed at the Temple of Literature.
It was part of efforts to preserve the art, bring Ca tru off the list of intangible heritages requiring urgent protection and make it part of the intangible cultural heritage of humankind soon.
The event drew the participation of 97 artists between age six and 29 from Ca Tru clubs in Hanoi. 62 candidates performed collective art works and 35 candidates put on single performances in random selection.

The organizing board presented two prizes for excellent talent to Nguyen Thi Thao from Thai Ha Ca tru club and Dinh Thi Van from Lo Khe Ca tru club; four A prizes to four singers and one A prize for group of Thang Long Ca tru club./.
