Cultural activities welcome festival on Quan ho folk singing

Various activities such as Quan ho singing contest and spring press festival are taking place in the northern province of Bac Ninh as part of the “Returning to the land of Quan ho 2019” festival.

The festival aims to mark a decade since the folk singing recognised as intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO.

The 28th singing contest is being held from February 13th to 15th, attracting more than 300 artists and musicians from districts and the city.

The spring press festival also introduced more than 100 newspapers and magazines from press agencies across the country to honour reading culture and improve the quality of people’s lives.

Nearly 4,000 ornamental trees from hundreds of artists and associations in Bac Ninh and other localities, including some trees over a century old, are on display at an exhibition which will run until February 26th.

Meanwhile, the Bac Ninh Culture and Tourism Week is held for the first time to popularise the province’s image./.
