Cultural exchange to mark 45 years of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic ties

The Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange has taken place in Hanoi to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam - Japan diplomatic ties (September 21st).

Speaking at the event, Chairwoman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong, who is also head of the mass mobilization department of the Hanoi city Party Committee, stressed that over the past 45 years, Vietnam and Japan have become important partners in various areas, including economy, culture, education and tourism.

At the event, forms of art of the two countries such as the Ikebana flower arrangement, the Origami paper folding and the Haiku poetry and paintings of Japan, and the moon-cake making of Vietnam are introduced.

On this occasion, a concert was also held at the Hanoi Opera House with the participation of State President Tran Dai Quang and his spouse. It featured famous German violinist Christian Tetzlaff, while the orchestra was led by Japanese conductor Michiyoshi Inoue.
