Dancing festival of Dao ethnic minority group

When spring comes, the dancing festival of Dao ethnic minority group in Son Duong district, the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang, will be held as a traditional ritual that converges human values and carries profound influence in their life.

Dao ethnic people from Son Duong district has introduced visitors to the Hanoi's Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism at the Spring Festival 2019.

According to custom, Dao ethnic people organize New year celebration from half month earlier than the lunar new year to the full-moon. New year celebration and dancing festival are the two great celebrations of the year.

According to the custom, the dancing festival is celebrated at the house with the altar. This is the work of every family, but all the villager joined so it is considered as the common Tet of villagers.
