Exhibition on Vietnam’s island and sea cultural heritage

An exhibition on Vietnam’s sea and island cultural heritage is taking place in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province, from May 9th to 14th, as a highlight of the framework of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017.

It is an activity in the framework of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017.

The event aims to promote cultural values and the potential of island tourism. Meanwhile, the exhibition contributes to affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.

The exhibition will be divided into two parts. The first part will reflect a general overview on Vietnam’s sea and islands ranging from prehistoric times to now, through nearly 300 documents, ancient maps and artefacts asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.

The second part will introduce characteristic values of cultural heritages, island tours, a folk arts programme and products of 16 provinces and cities across the country./.
