Festival performs national intangible cultural heritages

A festival on performing national intangible cultural heritages and Tuyen Quang city festival are taking place in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang from September 12th to 14th.

Additional 17 national intangible cultural heritages announced

The events are held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Tuyen Quang provincial People's Committee with the participation of more than 700 artisans, professional actors and the masses; performing 12 heritages.

Addressing at the opening ceremony, Politburo member and Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh asked the ministries, branches and localities continue to focus on and pay more attention to the preservation and promotion of the good values of the national culture, the diversity and cultural identities of ethnic groups; continuing to build cultural values appropriate to the new era in the context of information development; promoting the role of cultural subjects in preserving and promoting the traditional culture of ethnic groups; and creating the best conditions to improve the beneficiary level and participate in cultural creation activities of the Vietnamese ethnic community.
