First Italy - ASEAN Week in Hanoi

The first Italy-ASEAN Week will take place at Ly Thai To statue area next to Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi from November 17th to 27th to bring Italian culture closer to Vietnamese people.

On November 18th and 19th, an original “Italian Trail” will depart from the central Ly Thai To square and will connect many other places in the city centre particularly meaningful to the Italian culture, such as Max Mara and Moschino. The “trail” will take the public along an exclusively designed path enriched by booths for Italian food and wine tasting, exhibitions of Italian design creations, musical performances and cultural presentations. Screening of Italian films and an exhibition of paintings by Mrs. Laura Federici will take place at Casa Italia, centre of excellence for the promotion of Italian culture.

On November 21st, the Italy Embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Technology will hold a conference to introduce important contents of bilateral cooperation projects.

On November 23rd, a workshop aiming to promote Italian language in the ASEAN bloc will be organised by the Hanoi University and the University for Foreigners of Perugia.

On the same day, young and talented Italian pianist Nazareno Ferruggio will join Vietnamese pianist Pham Quynh Trang in a duet performance./.
