The German Film Festival SCHLINGEL 2019 for Children and Youth will held in four cities in Vietnam from June 19th to 30th.

Specifically, the event will take place at the National Cinema Centre at No.87 Lang Ha street, Hanoi from June 21st to 30th; at Dong Ba Cinema at No.203 Tran Hung Dao street, the central city of Hue from June 25th to 29th; at Cinestar Cinema - the General Science Library at No.44 Bach Dang street, Hai Chau district, the central city of Da Nang from June 26th to 30th; and at Cinestar Cinema at No.135 Hai Ba Trung street, Ben Nghe precinct, district 1, Ho Chi Minh City from June 19th to 24th.
The event will be organized in cooperation with SCHLINGEL and supported by German Films and the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung mdm.
Six awarded films will be screened during the festival, focusing on children with strong characters, who are adventurous and full of imagination.
The movie “Simple” will be screened at the opening ceremony in Hanoi on June 21st. It is about two unequal brothers who want to prevent that Simple, who is of simple spirit but an incredibly sweet and warm-hearted boy, will be send to a children’s home. The two brothers Ben and Simple embark on an exciting journey to Hamburg./.
