Hanoi Opera House on July 12th coordinated with the Institute Francophone International to launch a virtual tour of the Hanoi Opera House under the digitization project of cultural heritages.
Hanoi Opera House is one of the most outstanding French architectural works in Vietnam, as well as Indochina. It was built in ten years (from 1901 to 1911) to serve Western officials and denizens in Hanoi.

Since then, the building has become a cultural destination which has an important role in the modernization of Vietnamese stage. It has become a symbol of history, exchange and socio-cultural development in Hanoi.
The 15-minute tour features a full motion video, capturing different angles of the landmark, with French music playing on background and audio guide available in Vietnamese, French and English.
It provides visitors with information on the construction of the building, its unique architecture, the development of modern Vietnamese theatre and music in the early 20th century, and life and works of famous dramatist Vu Dinh Long and the first director of the Hanoi Opera House, Claude Bourrin./.
