Heritages on Uncle Ho in Hue

There are dozens of heritages imbued with Uncle Ho and his family in Thua Thien – Hue province’s Hue city, as the city is where the young Nguyen Tat Thanh (Uncle Ho’s name) learned and gained his patriotic ideology between 1895 – 1901 and 1905-1909.

The commemorative house for Uncle Ho in Duong No village, Phu Duong commune, Phu Vang district, is the place where Uncle Ho lived from 1989 to 1900 with his father and brother, and was taught by his father. Together with the house, Da resting place, Ba Pagoda and Duong No communal house have become a relic complex marking Uncle Ho’s childhood stories. 

Another address is President Ho Chi Minh memorial house at No. 112 Mai Thuc Loan Street where his family rented from 1895 to 1901 when his father came to the Hue capital city and attended exams. 

In Hue, there are also 20 relics recalling people’s ideology and sacred affection for Uncle Ho.

Ms. Le Thuy Chi, Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue province, said that over the years, the system of relics in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh has been preserved and restored carefully. “During his time in Hue, Uncle Ho joined patriotic movements, contributing to establishing the morality as well as patriotic ideology of the great leader when he was young,” she added./.
