History of 90-year glorious Party highlighted

(CPV) - Winners in the multiple-choice question contest on the 90 years of the glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) were honoured during an art performance titled “Mau co toi yeu” (The flag colour I love) held on February 1st in Hanoi.

Organised on the social network VCNET by the Party Central Committee Commission for Popularization and Education, the contest aimed to celebrate the founding of the CPV and the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

The contest helps educate the revolutionary tradition for the entire Party, the entire people and army, especially among the young generation, about the glorious 90-year history of the CPV; affirming that the correct and wise leadership of the Party is the leading factor determining all victories of the Vietnamese revolution; promoting the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, thus contributing to pushing back a degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle.

The enthusiastic participation of all classes of people has clearly shown people’s affection, respect and pride of the achievements of the CPV. It has become a wide political activity which attracted classes of people in studying the glorious history of the CPV.

Since August 22nd, it went through 18 competition weeks, with 138 questions that relate to the history of the CPV, highlighting the historic marks which were connected to the country’s important achievements under the leadership of the CPV and President Ho Chi Minh, especially in struggles for national liberation earlier and the national construction and protection as well as the renewal process at present.

The organising committee awarded 198 prizes, including 18 first prizes, 36 second prizes, 54 third prizes and 90 consolidation prizes, using nearly VND400 million.

The CPV was founded on February 3rd, 1930, opening up the great turning point in the history of the Vietnamese revolution. Under the leadership of the CPV, the national industrialization and modernization has been sped up, with increasing growth and people’s living standard. The political system and the national unity has been reinforced while security has been maintained and the nation’s position has been increasingly raised on the international arena.

As a story telling the history, the art performance “Mau co toi yeu” stressed the process in the founding and development of the CPV as well as the struggles for national protection through precious documentary films and famous songs praising the glorious Party and great Uncle Ho./.
