Ho Chi Minh city: Over 900 books related to Uncle Ho on display

As many of 923 books, including those penned by the President along with books and articles on his life, career, ideology and testament written by other authors, are on display at an exhibition which opened in Ho Chi Minh city on April 21st.

The event was held to mark the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s testament, the 70th anniversary of of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the 70th anniversary of the Southern Party School - the precursor of Academy of Politics Region II.

President Ho Chi Minh began writing his will in May 1965 and finished it in May 1969 - four months before he passed away. This special historic document has become a guideline for Vietnam’s revolution and development for both at that time and in the future. 

It was also an activity in response to the Vietnam Book Day (April 21st) to help promote the reading habit in the community.

The exhibition will run at the Academy of Politics Region II until May 19th./.
