Hoang Sa Exhibition House opens in Da Nang city

The Hoang Sa Exhibition House was inaugurated on March 28th in central city of Da Nang to display and store historical documents, objects and images on Vietnam’s Hoang Sa archipelago.

The exhibits at the house are arranged into five topics: the geographic location and natural conditions of Hoang Sa; Hoang Sa in ancient documents of Vietnam before Nguyen dynasty; Hoang Sa in ancient documents in Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945); historical evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the archipelago from 1954 to 1974 and from 1975 to the present.

The house, which covers an area of nearly 1,270 square metres on Hoang Sa road, Son Tra district, will open from 07h30 to 11h30 and from 13h30 to 17h30 from Monday to Friday.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Secretary of Da Nang city Party Committee and Chairman of Da Nang city People’s Committee, Huynh Duc Tho stressed that Hoang Sa is an inseparable part of Vietnam. He hoped that visitors will come to the house as an important place in their itinerary discovering the beauty of Da Nang.
