Investigating 32 typical cultural heritages in Ca Mau

As many of 32 typical physical cultural heritages of Hoa and Khmer ethnic minority groups in the southern province of Ca Mau have been investigated. 18 of these are of the Khmer ethnic group, and 14 of the Hoa.

The information was released according to the report of the Southern Ca Mau Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the results of the implementation of a project of inventory, collection, preservation, display and dissemination of typical traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in Vietnam in 2018 and 2019.

The provincial culture sector conducted an inventory in eight districts. Four heritage types in the form of voice and scripts, 13 heritages in folk performing arts, 31 heritages in social customs, 11 heritages in traditional festivals were investigated.

In 2020, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to collect artifacts on typical traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities; introduce and promote typical traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in the locality, and build a database of typical traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in Vietnam./.
