Jrai ethnic people re-enact customs of moving to new Rong house

Living for a long time in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai, the Jrai ethnic group has formed and stored a rich and unique traditional cultural treasure, in which the customs around moving to new Rong house is a typical cultural activity, reflecting their lively spiritual life.

In the framework of activities in June titled “Family Festival”, Jrai ethnic people introduced their cultural features and customs at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay town, Hanoi, to strengthen the close relationships between the ethnic groups in the regions of the country.

For generations, the people of Jrai in La Pa district, Gia Lai province, still retain their traditional cultural beauty. People grow rice for cultivation. In spiritual life, Jrai people believe that the Rong house is a symbol of culture and common beliefs of the community, which has an important meaning in the spiritual life.
