July activities at Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

Activities under the theme “Central Highlands Echo” will take place from July 1st to 31st, 2017, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo tourism area of Son Tay town, Hanoi, to introduce the cultures and customs of ethnic minority groups in Truong Son region and the Central Highlands.

Diverse activities such as artistic performances; training course for children to understand good things in life; a program to show gratitude to fallen soldiers to mark the 70th anniversary of Fallen and Wounded Soldiers’ Day (July 27th); activities to introduce Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and islands, traditional culture in the Central Highlands and re-enacting the daily life of ethnic people in the Central Highlands; a photo exhibition on the beauty of people and land in the Central Highlands; and performances of traditional handicrafts and traditional musical instruments will be held.

Every weekend, there will be experience activities such as folk dance, gong and traditional musical instrument performances and introduction of traditional dishes.

These activities aim to introduce culture and customs of ethnic minority groups in the Truong Son region, the Central Highlands and the community of ethnic groups at the village, promoting exchanges among ethnic groups and attracting more visitors to the village./.
