To enhance the night-time experience, activities that once took place inside the Imperial City will be replicated. These include musical performances, shift change rituals of the old imperial guards, religious offerings and martial arts training by the imperial army.

The pilot programme will run until September 15th to help tourists avoid daytime summer heat and give them more time to experience imperial cultural spaces in the citadel. Several royal rituals will be reinstated to serve tourists./.
