Vietnamese Ambassador to Sweden Doan Thi Phuong Dung
The Ambassador said that music transcends borders, transcends space and time, and touches human hearts. It is a means of exchange, connecting people without being hindered by cultural or linguistic differences; It brings peace, harmony and love. It unites Vietnamese with Swedish.
The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden in collaboration with Malmö Conservatory, Lund University and the Academy of Music and Opera, Mälardalent University, to celebrate 50 years of Vietnam – Sweden diplomatic relations.
Performances in Sweden
The artistic troupe from Vietnam National Academy of Music includes Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Tuan, director of Vietnam National Academy of Music and artists Nguyen Huy Phuong, Nguyen Trinh Huong, Nguyen Tien Manh, Tran Thi Tam Ngoc (piano), Nguyen Cong Thang, Phan Thi To Trinh (violin), Nguyen Thu Binh (Viola), Nguyen Hong Anh (Cello), Nguyen Phuc Tiep and Dao To Loan (opera) and MMTM group.
Swedish artists from Lund and Mälardalen universities participated, such as Hakan Rydin, Steffan Sandström (piano), Rebecca Hellbom (opera), Elisabeth Melander (vocalist), Nils Andersson and Anne Marte Eggen (guitar).
The three performances took place at Malmö Town Hall, Malmö Conservatory and at the History Museum in Stockholm.

The performance at Malmö Town Hall was attended by Skane Governor Anneli Hulthén and audiences in southern Sweden.
Nearly 250 people in Stockholm, including many officials, former officials from Swedish ministries and localities, Parliament members, many Ambassadors, members from diplomatic delegations, Swedish friends, and overseas Vietnamese, enjoyed the event./.
