Nearly 100 photos on late President Souphanouvong on display in Vietnam

Nearly 100 photos, documents and artifacts that highlighted the deep sentiments of the late President Souphanouvong with Vietnamese people, showing the long-term friendship between the two neigbouring countries are on display at an exhibition which has opened in Hanoi.

The exhibition entitled “President Souphanouvong – a close friend of Vietnamese people” is held by the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Laos’ Kaysone Phomvihane Museum, as part of activities marking the 110th anniversary of Lao late President Souphanouvong’s birth (July 13th, 1909-2019).

The exhibits introduce the important milestones in the life of Prince Souphanouvong when he studied and worked in Vietnam; the diplomatic ties, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries that were built up and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and Lao Presidents Kaysone Phomvihane and Souphanouvong; the efforts made by the leaders and people from the two nations to enhance the bilateral cooperation in all fields, for the development and prosperity of the two sides.

The exhibition will run until the end of August at the Ho Chi Museum, 19 Ngoc Ha street, Ba Dinh district./.
