Nearly VND1 billion for preservation of cultural heritage in Bac Kan province

Accordingly, national intangible cultural heritages in Bac Kan province will be protected in the near future, including the Tay ethnic festival, Tay ethnic traditional brocade weaving and Khen dance arts of Mong ethnic minority group.

The VND1 billion-project focuses on three main areas, including studying and evaluating the status of three national intangible cultural heritages; training courses to teach folk songs and practice customs and beliefs; producing three films to promote the image of the national intangible cultural heritages with ethnic language subtitles.

Besides, it hopes to preserve and promote cultural identities sustainably, create sources for tourism development and build cultural trademarks for places that have intangible cultural heritage./.
