Diverse activities to introduce culture and customs of ethnic minority groups will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism from October 1st to 31st.

Activities aim to enhance the close relationship between ethnic minority groups in the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, attracting tourists to the village - the common house.

The event will draw the participation of 13 ethnic groups at the village, including Mong from Ha Giang province, Kho Mu from Nghe An, Thai from Son La, Tay from Thai Nguyen, Muong from Hoa Binh, Dao from Hanoi, Ta Oi and Co Tu from Thua Thien Hue, Ba Na from Gia Lai, Xo Dang from Kon Tum, Raglai from Ninh Thuan, E De from Dak Lak and Khmer from Soc Trang.

In addition, there are performances by Kho Mu from Nghe An, artists and students from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the College of Culture and Arts of the Northwest.

The highlight will be the reinstatement of Kho Mu ethnic festival in Tuong Duong district, central Nghe An province, on October 20th; Don ca tai tu singing performance on October 26th; and the Kathina Festival 2019 at Khmer pagoda complex on October 27th.

Apart from daily and weekend activities at the village, visitors can experience traditional handicraft making; enjoy cake making, folk games and activities of peace and happiness praying in the spiritual spaces of Khmer temples and Cham towers./.
