As many of 106 artisans took part in Quang Nam International Kite Festival which opened in Hoi An ancient city, the central province of Quang Nam province, on June 8th.
It is part of activities under the framework of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival.
85 artisans participating come from provinces and cities nationwide, such as Ho Chi Minh city, Hanoi, the central province of Thua Thien - Hue, the central city of Da Nang, the northern provinces of Thai Binh and Nam Dinh, the northern port city of Hai Phong and the central province of Quang Nam.
21 artists come from nine countries and territories, including Canada, Japan, Republic of Korea, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and New Zealand.

Artisans perform and introduce some 300 traditional and modern kites at Tam Thanh beach, Tam Ky city and Cam Nam precinct, Hoi An city, from June 8th to 10th.
The festival is expected to create an opportunity for artisans to have cultural exchange and to popularize the art of kite flying of Vietnam, as well as other countries and territories./.
