Over 20 artistic to participate in Hue Festival 2020

Hue Festival 2020 from April 1st to 6th will see the participation of more than 20 international artistic troupes from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, China, Israel, France, Belgium, Denmark and Russia.

The festival will feature six major programmes, with the highlight being the opening ceremony April 1st, which honour traditional and contemporary cultural identities of Vietnam, particularly the ancient capital city of Hue.
The information was released in Hanoi on December 17th.
Under the theme “Cultural Heritage with integration and development - Always a New Hue”, the event will mark the 20th year for the first international cultural and arts event in the country.
There will be shows on Ao dai, a street carnival, a programme honouring the culinary culture of Hue city, an art programme “Capital City of Civilisation” and a performance of compositions by famous musician Trinh Cong Son. In addition, diverse activities such as as a kite festival, a science festival, a beer festival, and an international trade fair will be held.
There will be a program to promote Hue women to wear Ao dai during the festival and in community events, especially among officials, public servants and female students in the province./.
