The event is being held, together with the film week, as part of the activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Border Guards (March 3rd, 1959) and the 30th anniversary of the Whole-People's Border Day (March 3rd, 1989).

The exhibition is divided into three parts. The first part is on President Ho Chi Minh and generations of Party and State leaders’ visits to Lang Son Border Guards through succeeding time periods. The second showcases the image of the Lang Son Border Guards and the people protecting national border sovereignty (1959-1979). The last helps visitors to understand patrolling, protecting and mobilising people and coordinating with other countries in building a border of peace, cooperation and friendship. The event will run at Lang Son provincial Museum until March 5th.
