Photo exhibition “ASEAN Peoples and Countries” in Hanoi

230 photos on ASEAN peoples and countries will be displayed at an exhibition which will opened at Ly Thai To statue square around Hoan Kiem lake, Hanoi on August 5th.

The event will be held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hanoi City People’s Committee to mark the 50th founding anniversary of ASEAN.

The photos were selected from 10,127 by 1,248 photographers from ten ASEAN countries. The organizing board will present awarded the “ASEAN-2017” Cup to the 10 best works of 10 authors representing the 10 ASEAN nations. They are the “ASEAN 13 Omar Ali Saifudden Mosque2” by Haji Jumat Bin Haji Taha (Brunei), “Number of tourists from different” by Phat Dara (Cambodia), “Pacu Jawi” by John Hantoro Pudjoko (Indonesia), “That Luang Stupa in Vientiane” by Ikham Khamlasee (Laos), “We love Malaysia” by Tan Ee Long (Malaysia), “Kyite htee yoe: The Golden Rock Pagoda” by Nyaung U Than Htay (Myanmar), “Fluvial Parade Dinagyang Festival” by Raniel Jose Castaneda (the Philippines), “Marina Bay” by Ho Hon Yew (Singapore), “Releasing” by Wannapong Surarochprajak (Thailand) and “Bac Son Valley” by Vu Kim Khoa (Vietnam).

The exhibition will introduce the beauty of land, natural landscape, traditional culture and special gastronomy culture of ASEAN countries to domestic and foreign tourists.

It will promote understanding among countries, contributing to building an united, dynamic and developed ASEAN community, and a peaceful and proper region. This will be an opportunity to exchange and share experiences in photography in ASEAN. /.
