Photo exhibition on Vietnamese equal families

A photo exhibition titled “Vietnamese equal families” opened in Hanoi on June 21st to mark Vietnam Family Day (June 28th).

The 20 photos displayed were selected from thousands of photos entered in the contest held from March to May by the embassy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.

The contest was open to professional and amateur photographers nationwide, and aimed to acknowledge and emphasize the importance of shared responsibility in family life, so as to promote gender equality in Vietnamese society.

The Organizing Board presented the first prize to “Sharing at work” by Nguyen Huu Thong from Hanoi; and the second prize to “Joining forces” by Tran Phuc Thach.

The exhibition will run at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, at No.36 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi, until July 31st./.
