Deputy Minister Le Khanh Hai presented medal for the cause of culture, sports and tourism
to Colombian Chargé d'affaires to Vietnam Claudia Liliana Zambrano Naranjo 

In 39 years of establishing diplomatic relations, Vietnam-Colombia ties over the past time is considered a positive development period in all fields, including culture, sports and tourism. The cultural exchanges between the two countries have positively contributed to the consolidation and development of the friendship cooperation and mutual understanding.

To obtain cooperation achievements, Colombia Embassy in Vietnam and its staff, including Ms. Claudia Liliana Zambrano Naranjo in Vietnam from 2016 to present, have made outstanding contribution to the promotion of the cultural exchanges between the two country. During her tenure, she created many significant events in the bilateral ties such as the implementation of cooperation memorandum of understanding in tourism signed in 2015.

For the first time, Colombia invited a Vietnamese delegation to participate in a program to exchange experience and knowledge related to popularization of landscape and culture of coffee growing are in Colombia in this June.

Colombia also took part in international cultural exchanges in Vietnam such as sending Colombian artistic troupes to participate in international dance festival in Ninh Binh and Hue Festival; photo exhibition on Colombian handicrafts; Colombia cultural week in Hai Phong; presenting Colombian traditional clothes to the Southern Women’s Museum.  

She has been actively involved in and contributing to the activities organized by Vietnam; actively cooperated to introduce Vietnamese culture to Colombia in the future.

Deputy Minister Le Khanh Hai thanked Claudia Liliana Zambrano Naranjo for her contribution to the cause of culture, sports and tourism over the past time. He also expressed his hope that she would continue bringing Vietnamese culture, its image of land and people to Colombia./.
