Presenting scholarship to creator of robotic arm for the disabled

On June 5th, in central province of Quang Tri, representative from FPT University presented the Nguyen Van Dao scholarship, worth VND290 million (around USD12,750), to Pham Huy who has won the third prize at the Intel International Science and Technology Fair (Intel ISEF) in the US in May.

A student hailing from the central province of Quang Tri, Pham Huy won the prize for his invention of a robot arm for disabled people.

The scholarship will provide 100% of fees and accommodation expenses during four years of study at FPT University in Da Nang city. This will help the student realize his dream of creating technology products to help the community.

Huynh Tan Chau, director of FPT University in Da Nang city, said that Huy will have opportunity to promote his talent and complete his products in the university environment. 

At Intel ISEF, the Vietnamese team bagged five awards, including third prize for Pham Huy. The others were four fourth prizes in system software, chemistry and embedded software./.
