Preserving Thang Long - Hanoi cultural heritage through photography

Hanoi Museum on April 17th held a talk on photography and the preservation of Thang Long - Hanoi heritage to mark the International Museum Day (May 18th).

The event aimed to popularize and preserve the image of Thang Long - Hanoi through photos.

According to director of Hanoi Museum Nguyen Tien Da, the event received 12 presentations by researchers, photographers and managers, contributing to clarifying the role of photography in the preservation of Thang Long - Hanoi heritage.

Mr. Da said that each photographer has his own way to see and express the beauty of Thang Long - Hanoi through his lens. Thanks to photography, Hanoi is peaceful with small alleys, small streets, vendors, old quarters; Hanoi is attractive with European architecture and revolutionary relics.

Through the talk, the Hanoi Museum would like to find and collect more photos from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals for regular exhibition at the museum.

It also called for photographers, collectors and people to donate photos, objects and documents on Hanoi to contribute to introducing Hanoi to the public and international friends./.
