Receiving 10,000 documents and objects from Professor Ha Minh Duc

On December 4th, in Hanoi, the Centre for Heritage of Scientists and Scholars held a ceremony to receive a collection of 10,000 objects and documents from Professor and People’s Teacher Ha Minh Duc.

The collection includes 4,000 notes and draft research documents which will help people understand the researching career of Prof. Ha Minh Duc.

Professor - People’s Teacher Ha Minh Duc was born in 1935 in Thanh Hoa province. He devoted himself to teaching and conducting research. He was conferred Literature Professor in 1991 and was presented the first-class labour medal and the title of People’s Teacher in 2000.

Addressing the receiving ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Huy, director of the Centre for Heritage of Scientists and Scholars, said that Prof. Ha Minh Duc is an example for young researchers to follow.

There are not only notes and draft research documents, but also other interesting documents such as letters of scientists, writers and poets. Each document and object is associated with the professor’s life.

They are valuable documents to study the history of literature and education./.
