Red Dao ethnic wedding re-enacted in Hanoi

In the framework of the festival titled “Colour and fragrances of mountainous region”, on November 22nd, the wedding ceremony of the Red Dao ethnic minority group of the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang was re-enacted.

The Red Dao ethnic minority group in Tuyen Quang province has a diversified culture with a unique identity, reflecting many fields of life. One of the specific rituals which has been preserved is the Red Dao ethnic wedding.

The wedding ceremony values a culture and history which need to be preserved and promoted to contribute to diversifying cultural activities of ethnic minority groups in the community of Vietnamese ethnic groups.

This cultural beauty needs to be preserved and promoted to build civilized lifestyle in wedding, funeral and festival rituals.
