Reviewing 100 years of Vietnam - France heritage

On December 5th, in Hanoi, the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam coordinated with the Archives Department of France and French Embassy in Vietnam to organize a seminar on 100 years of Vietnam-France heritage.

Participants discussed the journey to preserve the common memory and heritage of Vietnam and France over the past century. Through the flow of history, Vietnam and France had initial exchanges four centuries ago and have been cultivating and forming these common memories.

Addressing the event, head of the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam Dang Thanh Tung said that over the past years, the department has coordinated with the Archives Department of France to carry out activities to popularize and promote archives heritage values in two countries in the framework of cooperation agreement between the two sides signed in 2009 and 2016. In the future, the two departments will continue help the public understand more about national development and believe in bilateral cooperation.

On December 7th, an exhibition on French cultural imprints through archives held in Hanoi. Accordingly, 150 photos, documents and objects will be displayed./.
